Parent Engagement Network

“It’s good to see how much they learn during the day. The children are happy to learn and have fun learning.
I liked the reading strategies used with my child. I can use these at home when teaching my child to read as well.
I feel more confident to help her now.” St Joseph's School parent.

Our Parent Engagement Network (PEN) provides an avenue for parents and families to come together to be informed, consulted and learn in relation to school planning, policy, decision making and education programs and engage in activities, projects and events that build community.

All PENs are governed by a constitution that is approved by the Executive Director: Catholic Schools on behalf of the Bishop of Toowoomba. Our constitution is linked below.

Parents are an integral part of our school community. The PEN supports the school by supporting the school’s strategic plan, contributing to resources and assisting with a range of activities including fundraising, tuckshop, library, reading groups, maintenance work and most importantly, by providing a parent voice.

Partnerships with parents are essential to a student’s learning and wellbeing. Parents are invited to actively take part in their child’s learning and to celebrate their achievements by attending school events and special learning days.

Meetings are held once a term time and meeting dates are published in the school newsletter. Agenda items can be emailed to tara@twb.catholic.edu.au on the Friday before the meeting.
